Several TROMPA project members have been involved in the development of the open source Music Encoding and Linked Data (MELD) framework which today is released in its 2.0 version. MELD is a flexible software platform used by several research projects to combine digital representations of music – such as audio and notation – with contextual and interpretive knowledge in the Semantic Web. This technology is fundamental to several of the arms of the TROMPA project and provides a stable infrastructure for future projects relating to music encoding.

Our community continues to grow and for the completion of our project we launched the third and final music notation contest.

• Although we try to analyze our emotional perception of music, we can also use technology to induce our perception. Thus, we want to study how these mechanisms work to implement new technologies and applications.

Early last month on the 11th and 12th of November, 2020 a subset of the TROMPA team participated in MELDfest-- a small, virtual event focusing on MELD, one of the core technologies used in the development of several of the TROMPA use cases. MELD, an acronym for the Music Encoding and Linked Data framework, is a conceptual architecture used by software developers working with music for combining the many types of media associated with music study.

Music has many appearance forms, but one appearance form is especially critical for classical music: the score.

• This collaboration will allow the participating choirs to have access to the synthesized repertoire of this emerging vocal quartet
• Cantoría has its origin in the ESMUC and already has a history of recognitions that have taken them to stages throughout Europe.
• This collaboration will materialize in various actions that will have the participation of the project's choirs.

Our community is still growing and now we have released our second annotation contest. From 14th to 20th october 2020, use our application and annotate music from all around the world. By the end of the week, we will award prizes to the participants with higher contributions.

• The pilot of the TROMPA project aimed at choral practice has been well received by people who have tested it, according to a series of tests carried out.

• The people who have tested the pilot have contributed with ideas and proposals to improve various functionalities of the application that will be incorporated shortly.
