In the choir singing use case we use multilingual singing voice synthesis technology to assist the choir singers in their individual practice.
The first prototype of the application has already been tested, and we are currently collaborating with 5 choirs to incorporate the application as a regular work tool and participate in the ideation and design of the functionalities of the following versions.
WHAT IS THE CHOIR SINGING USECASE?
It is an application to help choir singers in their individual practice. The singer can access the application and view the scores of her repertoire, listen to the pieces performed by synthetic voices, and record herself singing along with these voices. In addition, the application allows to obtain an automatic analysis of the interpretation.

The pilot of the TROMPA project aimed at choral practice has been well received by people who have tested it, according to a series of tests carried out.
The people who have tested the pilot have contributed with ideas and proposals to improve various functionalities of the application that will be incorporated shortly.
In the TROMPA Choir singers use case, we are using multi-lingual singing voice synthesis to support individual choir singers rehearsal. During the first two years of the project, we have identified the users requirements, developed a working prototype and improved the synthesis models. Now, we are almost ready to start sharing our tools with choir singers! But, how did we get here?
This call is addressed to local choirs interested in our research and that want to contribute to the improvement of open archives of choir scores. In order to engage in this first stage with local choirs in Barcelona, due to practical reasons, the call is now only in catalan.

Last week, Helena Cuesta (from UPF) attended the 15th International Conference on Music Perception and Cognition and 10th triennial conference of the European Society for the Cognitive Sciences of Music in Graz (Austria).
