Content owners (for example, orchestras) are increasingly seeking what can be done with their content, beyond 'just putting the material online'. In TROMPA, we will work on standardised digitisation processes, and on user-friendly ways of enrichment, so more value can be gained out of the content.

Many instrumental players actively make use of online music resources, in order to find and learn new repertoire. In TROMPA, we will work on ways to support this process, e.g. by offering better insight into various performances of the same piece, by researching automatic difficulty assessment of unknown pieces, and by devising rehearsal monitoring and supporting tools.

Music scholars typically already use various digital resources in various modalities as part of their research workflows. In TROMPA, we will research ways to support and innovate these workflows. Considering state-of-the-art ontologies, we will propose standardised ways of musical object representation, linking and sharing.

Do you like music, although you are not that experienced regarding classical music? Many people for whom this is the case do not know where to start, and what to listen or look for.

Within TROMPA, we will work on more accessible rich entrances to this music repertoire, and on ways to engage you from the start in unlocking this repertoire, even if you would not have specialist musical knowledge.
